2 Timothy Prayer

Oh Heavenly Father,

Lord when reading 2 Timothy 4:17 we find ourselves wondering how could this be. Your steadfast love makes us awestruck. Your willingness to do life with us every second of the day is unfathomable Lord. We feel unworthy of your devoted love for us. We wonder how you could choose to stand by us even on the ugly tantrum throwing moments. Especially on those days when we doubt your love, our purpose and our worth. When we seem to act more like the world than the child of a the Most High God.

Lord thank you for your promise in Psalm 103:12-13 “As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.”

Thank you Lord for standing with us on the good, the bad and the ugly days. Thank you for standing with us on the days we doubt our dreams and wonder if you picked the right person. Thank you for being our foundation and the rock by which we can stand. Thank you for standing with us. Lord please continue to guide our steps. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus – AMEN

He is Risen

Jesus,
Thank you for loving us so much that you died a painful death just to be in a loving relationship with us.  Thank you for hanging on the cross while others mocked and ridiculed you.  You felt the weight of our sins on you and yet you didn’t give up on us. Lord thank you for believing in us more than we believed in ourselves.

HE HAS RISEN

Thank you Lord for conquering death. Thank you for rising on the third day. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for teaching us how to love unconditionally. Thank you for your unfailing love. Lord today we celebrate that YOU ARE ALIVE!

Thank you for writing the greatest love story ever. We offer all of this as a sacrifice of praise in your precious name, Jesus – AMEN

We Are Loved Prayer

John 3:16

Heavenly Father,

What a precious you gave all of us by sending your Son to die for us. Heavenly Father as we go into the week of Good Friday and Easter, may we humbly come before your throne and say THANK YOU. Even those words do not sum up our love for you and adoration for the love you bestow upon us.

Abba Father, we thank you for choosing us first. Thank you for your steadfast love that gives us grace. There was a sacrifice to be made and you provided the sacrifice. God we seek to know you and have an intimate relationship with you. We want to hear your voice and know that you are the God we serve.

May this week not be primarily about our God Sized Dreams but more about the God Sized Dream Giver. May we focus on what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross. May we remember Jesus and his extravagant love for us. We ask all of this in your Son’s name, Jesus – AMEN

Created Just For Me

“I’m not to sure if you would be interested in this job but you came to mind when I read the job description.” As I read the job posting, I kept saying – it’s like God created this job just for me. The moment I read the email from Theresa a chain of events were put into motion.

Like any brave dreamer, I called my mother to tell her about the opportunity and ask her if I should apply. Emotionally I was rather weary. My current job had a series of events occur which had me questioning if I would have a job by the end of the school year. I needed someone to see beyond my current circumstances who could give me clear guidance. Moments after reading description, my mother also agreed that she thought the job was perfect for me.

It still took me a couple of days to send in my cover letter and resume but I finally hit the send button on a Tuesday morning. Shortly after sending the email I reached out to my tribe and asked for prayer for favor and to make my resume stand out above all the rest.

A week later I was contacted and invited to a phone interview on Friday. Excited I sent out another prayer request to my tribe for my upcoming interview. Then the first miracle occurred, I was contacted prior to my first phone interview, to save the date for my second interview on Saturday if I was recommended for the next round. It was clear to me that God was moving on my behalf and I would make it to round 2.

I soared through the first two rounds and had been invited to the third round of interviews. I sent out an email update and another prayer request to my tribe for wisdom.  Immediately Theresa emailed back and gave sound advice for my upcoming interview – PREPARE, PREPARE, PREPARE

As I prepared for my interview, I asked God to give me wisdom on what I needed to do to stand out. He gave me the idea of creating tangible items to bring to the interview. Give the interview panel samples of what my vision would look like in the day to day if given the job. This also allowed me the opportunity to show my creative side and invite them to get to know the real me.

Round three was the INTENSE interview and it was grueling. At one point, I was becoming extremely nervous and almost panicked. But I sent out a quick text to my tribe to pray for peace and talk about prayers being answered immediately. Peace filled me and the atmosphere. I was a given a God confidence that God had created me for this job. I just needed to relax and trust that he was with me every step of the way. (<====Click to Tweet)

To be honest it was the preparation for the multiple rounds of interviews which made me stand out as the top candidate. It was the tribe standing in prayer with me every step of the way which made the waiting bearable.  “Be still and know I am God (Psalm 46:10)”  became my mantra and reminder that God was going before me and making a way.

If you find yourself in the waiting, trust the stillness. Ask God if there is anything you need to take action on and do that. And surround yourself with prayer warriors that will lift you up. God is honored in these small steps of faith and might just take you on an adventure ride like He did for me!

Oh let’s not forget the exciting news and the best part – I GOT THE JOB! GO JESUS GO!

Called By Name Prayer

Isaiah 43:10

Abba Father,

Just like you called Israel by name, so have you called each of your God Sized Dreamers by name. Thank you God for calling us by name. Thank you for sending your son Jesus to die for our sins so we could be redeemed. Thank you for pursuing us and never giving up on us. Thank you for adopting us into your family. Thank you for calling us YOURS.

Heavenly Father, please help to remember our identity is found in you. Help us to remember that you have equipped for this brave thing called God Sized Dreaming. Help us to remember that you are a good and faithful God who wants the very best for your children.

Thank you for birthing new ideas in each of us. Thank you for giving a new God Sized Dreamer the courage to dream again. Thank you for showing the dreamer who lost sight of her dream along the way that you have kept it safe all this time. Thank you for seeing her heart and her desire to serve you. Thank you for bringing back to memory lost dreams. Thank you for walking this journey with us.  Oh Heavenly Father, we just want to say again – THANK YOU FOR CALLING US BY NAME. 

We love you and believe you have our best interest at heart. We ask all of this in Jesus name – AMEN

Give Me Rest Prayer

Matthew 11:28

Heaven Father, 

Thank you for your promise in Matthew 11:28 that you will give rest to the weary. Heavenly Father there are many God Sized Dreamers who are growing weary in chasing their dreams. They are questioning if they have what it takes. They are wondering if there will be a breakthrough. They are wondering if you see them and if they are pursuing the right dream. They are jam packing their days with activities and feel guilty when they decide to just REST. They are growing weary Lord give them the strength to stand strong in who you’ve called them to be. 

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for loving us enough to require that we honor the Sabbath and learn how to rest. Thank you that you’ve called us to place a margin in our lives to replenish our strength. Lord please whisper the truth into each God Sized Dreamer reading this prayer that it is OK to REST. Remind  them that you delight in their rest just as much as you jump for joy as they follow their dream with all of their heart. 

We ask all of this in Jesus name – AMEN

 

 

Your Kingdom Come Prayer

Our Father in Heaven

Today we want to encourage you to change your posture when reading this prayer.  Kneel before God in reverence for who is as you utter the words of this prayer. 

Abba Father,

We come before you Abba Father in reverence (hallowed be your name).  It’s our hearts desire to experience your presence in our lives Abba Father.  We want more of you in our lives. We want to see your face and hear your voice. We want to be the daughters and sons you created us to be. We want to stand on the promise that you can and will bend your ear to hear our cries.

Abba Father, you never promised us that there wouldn’t be bad days.  But you did promise us that you will never leave us or forsake us. You promised that NOTHING is impossible with you. You promised that you will work out everything for our good. You promised us that your love for us is steadfast and unfailing.

In this Lent season, Heavenly Father we want to pause for a moment and stand in reverence of the greatest love story ever told. Thank you for loving us and choosing us first. Thank you God for sending your son, Jesus to die for us. Thank you God for sending the Holy Spirit to us as a helper. Thank you for bringing us home Abba Father.  Thank you that you are a LOVING GOD,  a merciful God who extends GRACE to his children. Thank you for partnering with us to do Kingdom adventures to bring glory to your name. God we kneel humbly before you and say THANK YOU.

Be Still Prayer

Be Still

Heavenly Father,

Thank you Father for the gift of stillness. Thank you that on days where we feels like we are under attack and the world around is spinning out of control, you have command us to be still for you are God and have everything under your control. Your promise to be with us in the storm gives us an inner peace. We no longer look at our circumstances but look at you for guidance.

In the season of Lent Lord I pray that our focus will not be on what we are giving up but drawing closer to you in our stillness. May we find margin in our lives to sit at your feet longer. May we lean in so close that you can whisper and we will hear your voice. Lord we pray we will draw even closer to you and come to appreciate the stillness.

We ask all of this in Jesus name – AMEN
