Laughter filled the room almost immediately. While some of us hadn’t ever met in person before, it was clear we were all sisters.
Ten dreamers, from all over the country, traveled to Houston to plan, learn and seek God’s vision for this site. We felt God’s calling for us and for everyone that enters in this space here.
God-sized dreaming, walking with Jesus, isn’t always “safe,” (<====Click to Tweet) but this is a place where you can come and be encouraged in any stage or phase of your journey.
A place of hope.
We were reminded afresh this weekend, and stand together to remind you, that you will never walk alone. That He is always there. Even when you feel lost. Even when seas get stormy. Even when darkness falls. Even when your crew is lost.
In Love Does, Bob Goff shares of an ocean voyage he took with no sailing experience. And despite the struggles and setbacks, a man announced Friends, it’s been a long trip. Welcome home. as his motley crew crossed the finish line. Goff shares how Heaven might be just like that:
I think the book of life is more like a book of lives, a book of stories. I bet it’s about people traveling in the direction of Jesus, trying to follow Him. People like me who made lots of mistakes and midcourse corrections. It’s about people who stayed within the large circle of His love and grace, staying the course on a long line pointing toward Him. And their names weren’t in the book because of what they did or didn’t do. They were in there because of who God is and what He has done to draw a circle around them. And at the end, perhaps simple words spoken by a loving and proud God will be, “Friends, it’s been a long trip. Welcome home.”
Sweet dreamer, it’s a long trip. Hang in there. We’re all sailing this race together.
